Salone del Mobile 2018

Thirty years ago, Tecno and Norman Foster produced Nomos, a system of tables and desks that changed our way of thinking about the object that is the table forever.

Designed by Foster and his collaborators to generate a system conceived for furnishing the new Portland Street studio in London, over time Nomos proved capable of performing other functions too and became a furnishing accessory that meets a multitude of needs, becoming an authentic system that has enhanced public and working spaces the world over.

From 17 to 22 April, for the Salone del Mobile, Tecno is celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the iconic table with an exhibition event inside the Piazza XXV Aprile excise buildings, the location of the showroom.
An exhibition dedicated to product and designer, to design and to industrial production.

Original designs by the architect, technical drawings brought back to the light from the archives and pictures taken by master photographer Mauro Masera guide the visitor as they rediscover one of the major chapters in the story that Norman Foster has created with many of his works, be they macro structures or, as in the case of Nomos, exceptional objects on a small scale.
