Osvaldo Borsani는 독창적이고 자율적이며 우아한 형태의 가구를 디자인하고 제작하고 싶었으나,이를 생산하는데 있어서는 많은 기술을 필요로 하였습니다.
D70는 두 개의 날개와 금속 프레임, 폴리우레탄으로 내장재에 패브릭이나 가죽으로 마무리 됩니다. 의자의 각도는 구멍이 뚫린 눈금판에 고정핀을 사용하여 조절할 수 있습니다. 이 장치는 손잡이를 사용하여 큰 어려움 없이 조작할 수 있으며 등받이와 시트를 어떤 각도로도 조절 할 수 있고, 침대로도 펼칠 수 있습니다.
D70의 기본 틀과 모든 금속 부분은 짙은 회색이나 새틴 니켈로 마감 처리 됩니다. 소파침대는 몸의 형태에 맞춰 충전제가 변하기 때문에 편안함을 제공하는 것은 물론이고, 디자인과 형태가 완벽한 조화를 이룹니다. D70은 리셉션 하는 장소나 사무실 및 집에서도 상징적인 디자인으로써 사용될 수 있습니다.
The D70 has two pivoting wings, a metal frame, polyurethane foam filling, and fabric or leather upholstery. The mechanism allows the sofa to be opened out until it completely reverses - an iconic design solution which allows the backrest to open to any angle, even to make a bed.

When the sofa was first presented as a “patented divan-bed” at the Exhibition of individual furniture items in the 10th Triennale Exhibition in 1954, it emblemised the fresh direction taken by the newly formed Tecno.
