Alis at 17th Venice Architecture Biennale

Alis unveils itself as a world premiere in the Giardino delle Vergine at the Arsenale in Venice, the home of the Italian Pavilion in the occasion of the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale: an innovative space for physical and digital connectivity within which will be presented the masterplan “Unicorn Island” in response to the “Resilient Communities” theme of this year’s Italian Pavilion, curated by Alessandro Melis.

The “Unicorn Island” project, currently under construction in Chengdu, is a masterplan project. It is a proactive response to the growing demand for smarter, greener and more sustainable urban developments and communities.

Alis is a multifunctional structure born from the collaboration between Tecno and Zaha Hadid Architects. It is a mobile pod conceived to increase and facilitate team working that responds to the future ways of creating connections between humans.
