Pax è la poltrona dall’effetto cocoon costituita da una struttura a cestello in tubo metallico che racchiude un morbido guscio in schiuma, rivestita e scolpita.
Pax is a cocoon-effect armchair consisting of a tubular metallic basket frame covered by a soft foam shell, upholstered and sculpted. The individual interior cushions for the neck, back and seat accommodate the user’s body in several positions - for greater support or to relax - and they are integrated into a single oval volume, supported by a swivel pedestal with automatic return mechanism.
This flexible and adaptable product serves multiple purposes depending on the circumstances, making it ideal for work spaces, public loungers, reception areas and lobbies. The frame and cushions are available in an extensive range of colors and upholstery options.

Pax is not simply an armchair. Indeed, it is a room inside a room, a private place to isolate yourself, to read, listen to music, make a call or relax, but at the same time, the 360° swivel mechanism on the pedestal allows it to liaise with its surroundings. The curved shell creates a calm and collected atmosphere, creating micro-oases which insulate from outside noise while generating a cozy dimension.

Based on the pure shape of a globe, Pax reinterprets the iconic Ball Chair designed in 1963 by Eero Aarnio. Indeed, David Rockwell’s objective was to reinterpret the concept of one of the most famous and popular classic creations of Finnish design, modernizing the project entirely in keeping with the digital era.
