Tecno at the exhibition “When I Was a Designer”

From October 4 to 23, 2025, the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan will host the exhibition “When I Was a Designer – Franco Perrotti”, the first major retrospective tracing the artist’s journey through art, design, and experimentation.

The exhibition retraces over forty years of creative exploration between design and art.On this occasion, Tecno plays a key role, presenting two iconic pieces from its historic collection: the S148 armchairs and the WS bench, both from the Tecno Public Seating Archive.

These two objects perfectly embody the design vision of Franco Perrotti, who began his professional journey at Tecno, collaborating from 1976 to 1986 with the Tecno Design Centre on product design, layout concepts, and exhibition installations.The presence of the S148 and WS pieces highlights the significance of this collaboration and the enduring connection between the brand’s history and the designer’s creative research.
