In Southern California, the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center designed by HOK is now one of the most important transports hubs in the United States and one of the first mass transit centres to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
Famous worldwide, the 67,000 square foot transport hub features a curved shell with large architectonic openings which illuminate the seating areas, made with RS.
The distinctive design, carefully selected materials and finishings and high performance specifications have led Form+Surfaces to propose the RS system to furnish the building both indoors and outdoors, specifically for its ability to satisfy LEED certification requirements.
The system satisfies the requisites for certification parameters MR C 2 - MR C 3.2 - MR C 4 - MR C 5 - MR C 6 - MR C 7 – EQ C 4.5.
The system's comfort and versatility, and the availability of bar-mounted two and five seat units with and without backrests, have made a key contribution to the success and popularity of the space.
