MOdA-Maison de l’Ordre des Avocats

MOdA, the Paris Bar Association, is a hymn to transparency. Designed by RPBW-Renzo Piano Building Workshop with the intention of leaving everything that goes on inside visible – spaces, people and activities – the glass and steel structure incorporates a wooden “heart”, made to measure.

All spaces, clearly visible from the outside, have benefited from the tailor made expertise, which has supplied a ‘turnkey’ project, not only in terms of the special furniture, created according to a design by RPBW Architects, but particularly with the wooden cladding, which ensures an elegant interior design that is warmly welcoming. It is this cladding that adds important aesthetic value to the spaces, the series of sound-absorbing wall panels and beech wainscoting punctuating the compositional rhythm of the project, just like the sound-absorbing panels in beech and/or oak that make up the ceilings in key communal areas (the hall, auditorium, court rooms and library), “suspended” thanks to complex structural solutions developed by Tecno experts.

The custom furnitur includes tables in the Negotiating Room (Salle CARPA), reception desks in the hall, the bookcase modules for the offices of the Presidency, cafeteria furniture in the foyer of the Auditorium and various accessories in the relaxation areas.
