In an apartment overlooking Piazza San Carlo, in the heart of Turin, Tecno’s design icons engage in a dialogue with the interior design by Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Testa, helping to create a sophisticated domestic environment, suspended between memory and the present.

TECNO - ZOOM SITO - MERCANTE TESTA - TURIN

Located on the mezzanine level of a historic building on Via Roma, the project interprets the home as a domestic landscape where architecture, furnishings, and objects come together to define a distinct identity. The rooms flow into one another, culminating in the large living room overlooking the square, alternating perspectives, materials, and geometries in a refined balance between familiar elements and unexpected combinations.

In this setting, some of the most iconic pieces designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno become an integral part of the space’s narrative. The D70 sofa with movable wings, the one-of-a-kind P40 armchair in ostrich leather, and the T1 and T2 coffee tables inhabit the living area with a strong yet understated presence, enhancing the space without altering its identity.

Shapes, materials, and design solutions born from Borsani’s research stand the test of time while retaining their expressive power. Placed within a contemporary context, these historic objects once again reveal their relevance and their ability to forge ever-new relationships with the architecture and the elements surrounding them.

The project thus tells the story of an encounter between different eras and design languages, in which Tecno’s iconic pieces are not merely furnishings, but elements capable of elevating the space through a design philosophy rooted in elegance, innovation, and timeless quality.
