Tecno brings its design excellence in Venice with Vatican Chapels, a project that unites art, architecture, and contemporary spirituality.

For the first time in history, the Holy See takes part in the Venice Architecture Biennale with its own pavilion. The project Vatican Chapels, curated by Francesco Dal Co, is set on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, within a captivating woodland, and stands out for its original approach: not models or graphic representations, but a real sequence of ten chapels designed by architects from around the world.

Now permanently part of the Vatican Gardens, Vatican Chapels embodies a true dialogue between faith and design, where architecture becomes a space for meditation and encounter. Within this context, Tecno had the honour of being the builder of the chapel designed by Norman Foster, contributing to the construction and set-up of the permanent pavilion dedicated to the project. The company applied its technical and manufacturing expertise, offering solutions that combine innovation, precision, and aesthetic sensitivity.

In this project, Tecno once again confirms its role as a true “Factory of Projects”, able to accurately translate the vision of architects — whether expressed through objects or spaces — thanks to a know-how that merges craftsmanship and technology. Although not a construction company, Tecno successfully tackled this challenge on an architectural scale, showcasing the versatility of its expertise.

The chapel designed by Foster also represents a new chapter in the thirty-year collaboration between the British architect and Tecno — a partnership that has led to the creation of iconic products such as the Nomos table, as well as prestigious interior architecture projects including the Carré d’Art Museum in Nîmes, the British Museum in London, Porcelanosa headquarters, and the National Bank of Kuwait.
